We all know that SBI is going to conduct a prelims Exam before the Mains Exam and dates of examinations are near (Starts from 20th June 2015). Everyone might be in a state of dilemma. It is not because this thing was not expected, but it is because SBI is conducting this preliminary exam for the first time and no one knows what it will be like So I am going to give you some ideas about Time Management and Questions Pattern for the Prelims Exam. Hope it will help you to crack the Prelims Exam.
Below is the Pattern:
One hour (60 Minutes) 100 Questions
1. Pattern of the Preliminary Exam :
a) Reasoning Ability : 35 Questions
b) Quantitative Aptitude : 35 Questions
c) English : 30 Questions
I am giving expected distribution of questions for each section :
A) Reasoning Ability: Reasoning section in SBI Exam has always been the scoring section so give attention to this section. Below is the topic wise distribution of this section:
1. Input Output - 5 Questions
2. Seating Arrangement/Puzzle- 8-10 Questions
3. Inequality- 3-5 Questions
4. Data Sufficiency- 3 Questions
5. Syllogism- 3 Questions
6. Coding Decoding- 2 Questions
7 Logical Reasoning- 6 Questions
Give 20 to 25 Minutes for scoring good marks in this section.
B) Quantitative Aptitude :
One of the Toughest part because it is time taking section. So be prepair to give this section more time then any other section in the Examination Hall.
1. Ratio Proportions - 3 Questions
2. Problems on Age- 1 Question
3. Inequality (Equations Form)- 3 Questions
4. Data Sufficiency- 3 Questions
5. Time and Work- 3 Questions
6. Time and distance- 2 Questions
7. Boat and Streams- 2 Question
8. Percentage and Averages- 5 Questions
9. Simple and Compound interest- 3 Questions
10. Number Series- 5 Questions
11. Data Interpretation- 5 Questions
Give 25 to 30 Minutes for scoring good marks in this section. Accuracy is most important thing in this section.
C) English Language:
English section has always been scoring section if you have good command on this language. It is always Simple or Moderate and everyone will be able to do it but my suggestion is "Don't guess the answers in this section."
1. Reading Comprehension/Passage - 5 Questions
2. Cloze Test- 10 Question
3. Fill in the blanks/Phrase Correction- 5 Questions
4. Para-Jumbles/Zig-Zag Sentences- 5 Questions
5. Spotting Error- 5 Questions
Give at-least 10 Minutes for scoring good marks in this section and my suggestion is "Attempt this section first in the exam."
Best of luck for your Exams!!!!!
